Tokyo Univerisity of Science Technology Licensing Organization
After establishment in 2003, Tokyo University of Science (TUS) Technology Licensing Organization (TLO) was newly organized in April 2007 consolidating former TLO and Intellectual Property Headquarters. As a result, four divisions as Planning Division, Intellectual Properties Division, and Technical Licensing Division, and International Division (in charge of International Cooperation Project) were formed within TUS Technology Licensing Organization in order to promote more efficient and effective cooperation among industry, academia and government. First of all, Technology Licensing Organization is an organization, which is aiming at engaging in technology transfers. However it is also operating as a “ One-Step Center Supporting Cooperation between Industry, Academia and Government “in accordance with the following basic philosophy of TUS.
Basic Philosophy
- To make a social contribution by actively promoting not only education and research but also industry, academia and government collaboration activities.
- To engage in uniform activities in the fulfillment of the university’s responsibilities as a non-profit institution.
- To see the active application of TUS’s intellectual properties in society as the highest priority.
- To strive for the formation of new intellectual creation cycles based on return of activity achievements to TUS and further activation of education and research.
