Address by the President Address by the Vice-Chairperson Address by a visiting guest Lecture (17:30-19:00) Lecturer: Professor Hiroyuki Itami, Hitotsubashi University Topic: "The future of Japan's small and medium manufacturing enterprises" Profile of Professor Hiroyuki Itami 1969: Obtained a Master's Degree from the Graduate School of Commerce & Management, Hitotsubashi University. 1972: Obtained a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Mellon University. 1973: Full-time lecturer in the Faculty of Commerce & Management, Hitotsubashi University. 1977: Associate Professor in the same. 1985: Professor. Also served as Visiting Associate Professor at Stanford University during this time. 1994: Served as Dean of the Faculty of Commerce & Management at Hitotsubashi University for 2 years. 2000: Professor in the Graduate School of Commerce & Management, Hitotsubashi University, to date. Numerous appointments including Membership of Councils for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and others. Publications include "Keizaigaku Nyumon (An Introduction to Economics)" (jointly authored, Nihon Keizai Shimbunsha) and "Kigyo Senryaku Hakusho (White Paper on Corporate Strategy)" (jointly authored, Toyo Keizai Shimposha).
